Adjustment
Adjustment!!!
What is an adjustment?

It's like ordering a cake at the baker's saying "I want a chocolate cake"
He hands you a chocolate raisin cake!! (You hate raisins)
Me - I had ordered a chocolate cake.
He Say's - "you can't cancel the order once placed"
I try to object but then feeling timid
I plan to adjust!!
I cut the cake saying ill remove the raisins and eat the rest of chocolate and cake, but then you find a lot of raisins.
Your effort put to remove each raisin from that piece of cake is adjustment!!
The problem with adjustment is, if you adjust once you have to do it life long!!
Please do not adjust on things you can avoid, raise your voice and teach your kids, to adjust only to the extent they can, don't just keep adjusting and asking your little ones to do so.
The little ones when conditioned from the very beginning that you have to adjust, may what come, they will adjust even to things they should say 'no' to, teach kids to talk to parents to make their choices,
Do not be a dominant parent who forces the child or creates an atmosphere that pushes the child to remove raisins every time, for the entire life just in the name of adjustment!!
Be supportive and sensitive towards the child emotional wellbeing, but not pampering toooooo much, you can say "No" here and there but not every time!!
Love and nurture the life, don't try to let it grow the way you did!! You are a different tree, she may be the same species but a different plant all together!!!
